CBD Courts Project
The CBD Courts Project ($400m NPV) is the most significant courts development to be undertaken in Western Australia; it is also the State's first public private partnership under the Partnerships for Growth policy. CBD Courts Project - District Court Building
Preliminary planning for the District Court Building (DCB) began in 2002 with the preparation of a detailed business case by Appian Group. In December 2004, following an interactive bid process led by Appian Group, the State Government entered into a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with Western Liberty Group (a consortium established by ABN Amro with Brookfield Multiplex as the builder) to design, construct and maintain a new home for the District Court over a 27 year term. CBD Courts Project - Central Law Courts Refurbishment
As part of the CBD Courts Project, the Central Law Courts (CLC) building is undergoing a $35m refurbishment to accommodate the requirements of the Magistrates Court, the Coroner's Court and various support groups. A design and construct contract for the refurbishment was executed in June 2004 with the Western Liberty Group (WLG) CLC Pty Ltd, an entity established by ABN AMRO with John Holland Group as the building contractor. Fiona Stanley Hospital and Health Precinct
The $1.76 billion Fiona Stanley Hospital will be Western Australia's flagship health facility and will have a gross floor area of approximately 135,000m2 (excluding car-parking). Lime Street Development
Appian Group was engaged by St Bartholomew's House Inc. to undertake the role of Project Manager for their proposed multi-level Lime Street Development in East Perth. There is a strong expectation for this project to become the Western Australian benchmark for the provision of crisis, transitional, long term affordable housing and aged care for disadvantaged people. Metropolitan Prison Precinct Site Selection
Appian Group was commissioned by the Department of Housing and Works as project managers to provide coordination and support services to the Department of Corrective Services for the Metropolitan Precinct Site Selection project. The project seeks to identify a suitable parcel of land in close proximity to the Perth metropolitan area that will contain a number of prisons serving different purposes. Perth Freight Terminal Redevelopment
Appian Group was engaged by Pacific National (PN, a fully owned subsidiary of Asciano Pty Ltd) in October 2005 to fulfill the role of Project Director for the redevelopment of their Perth Freight Terminal (PFT). PFT handles a throughput of 430,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU's) per annum which is approximately 60% of the interstate containerised rail freight market. St George’s Cathedral Precinct
Appian Group was engaged by the Trustees in 2006 on behalf of the St George's Cathedral Chapter to undertake the role of Principal's Representative for Stage 1 of the Restoration of the St George's Cathedral. Supreme Court Redevelopment
Appian Group has been commissioned by the Department of Housing and Works to prepare a business case study on behalf of the Department of the Attorney General to address the accommodation deficiencies and future growth of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. The Perth Arena Project is a state-of-the-art indoor sporting and entertainment arena, providing world class facility to bring national and international events to Western Australia.
